Position Details
- Position: Head Ranger
- Location: Masai Mara, Kenya & Serengeti, Tanzania
- Contract Type: Full-time, Live-in
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and continuously develop a team of professional guides to uphold Bushtops’ industry-leading standards.
- Conduct regular training, assessments and field mentoring to enhance knowledge, interpretation and guest engagement skills.
- Ensure all guiding operations meet safety, ethical and conservation standards.
- Work closely with management to design and implement training programs that foster excellence and consistency across camps.
- Represent Bushtops’ guiding team with professionalism, passion and integrity.
Qualifications & Experience
- FGASA Level III / KPSGA Gold, or equivalent recognized guiding qualification.
- Minimum 8 years’ guiding experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or training role.
- Proven record of mentoring and developing guides in luxury safari environments.
- In-depth knowledge of East African wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to inspire, educate, and lead by example.
